Survey that took 75 years

Hi,...friends...!!, this time late, but don't worry. Today we are going to know about some very much interesting , some epic type of story.

You already read the title, so as per that, today you are going to collect some very interesting stuff about almost World's Longest Survey that was conducted for about 75 years...!!!

So, here we start...

  • George Vaillant directed this study. So, let's know about his study.
  • This survey was named as 'The Grant Study'.So, The Grant Study is part of the study of adult development at 'Harvard Medical School'.
  • It is a 75 years longitudinal study of 268 physical and mentally healthy Harvard college students from the classes 1939-1944. It was tandem with a study called 'The Glueck Study' having 456 disadvantaged nondelinquent inner-city youths who grew up in Boston neighborhoods between 1940-1945.
  • From that day, those men were evaluated at every 2 years by questionnaires, information from their physicians, and by personal interviews.
  • All the information was gathered about their mental and physical health, career enjoyment, retirement experience and marital quality.

This study, it's method and results are described into 3 different books :
  1. 1st book describes the study up to when men were 47 years of age.
  2. 2nd book describes the study when inner-city group were at 70, and Harvard group were at 80.
  3. And George Vaillant and Harvard University Press published 'Triumphs of Experience' as a 3rd book containing more findings from the Grant study.

- The goal of the study was to identify the predictors of healthy aging and to determine the factors contribute most strongly to human flourishing.

- After this longest study, Vaillant's conclusion is that ''warmth of relationships throughout the life have the greatest positive impact on life, only warm and lovely relationships makes men happy and healthy." How simple is that....!!!!

So, friends due to length of post i am not able to put the whole interesting content here, but one solution is that...
